Briefly: Here’s your first look at David Tennant (Doctor Who) in makeup and costume for his role as the new Peter Vincent in the remake of Fright Night. The character was originated by Roddy McDowell, at which point Vincent was a washed-up former actor turned TV horror host. Tennant’s version, as you can see, is a little different. And very Captain Jack Sparrow-ish.

The new version of the character is a Vegas stage magician, who gets roped (kind of) into a battle against a vampire (Colin Farrell) by a high school kid, played by Anton Yelchin. This banner seems to be part of the set dressing for the Hard Rock hotel where some scenes for the film are being shot, and it advertises Peter Vincent as a larger than life performer.

What a surprise! David showed up at the Emmy’s last night! YAY! Here is an HQ photo from last night

This week we were sadly lacking Kari, but Kelsey and Flossie made up for the lost voice by making a lot of David noise out of not much news at all. Talk turns to “exciting” news about his current projects Retreat and Decoy Bride, of which recent photos have been released.

In Picture Comment of the Day, Kelsey and Flossie fail to see the difference between their future bridegrooms wearing David’s Decoy Bride suit and actually marrying David himself. We also imagine the horror that is the Hollywood idea of a Scottish wedding.

Cast and crew of The Decoy Bride enjoying the Isle of Man as a film location

Former Dr Who David Tennant has been filming his new project on the Isle of Man this week.

The Decoy Bride is a movie based in the outer Hebrides, with filming taking place across the Island from Fleshwick To Ballaugh.

It’s a British Romantic Comedy set for a cinema release next summer.

He’s joined in the cast by Kelly MacDonald from No Country For Old men and Sex And The City 2 star Alice Eve.

Filming started on Sunday the 27th June and has been out doors. The Scotsman says the Manx changeable weather has been perfect!

David Tennant and the producer Paul Ritchie spoke exclusively to 3FM on the film set.

Paul Ritchie, who has produced 4 movies on the Isle of Man before, said the cast and crew are loving the Island and it’s beauty and said that the film is going to be the next big thing. He said British RomCom will be as good and popular as Bridget Jones.
